Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Acrobatic Arts certified instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in competitive and recreational dance instruction and a desire to educate safely and effectively through the Acrobatic Arts syllabus provided. This role involves teaching various ages and levels of Acro, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a positive learning environment. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in developing students' skills, confidence, and love for dance.
Duties
- Follow and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students at different skill levels, adjust and improve lesson plans as necessary.
- Teach various dance styles within Acro, ensuring that students grasp the fundamentals while also exploring creativity through choreography.
- Conduct classes for preschool age children through our most advanced competitive dancers, adapting teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with other instructors to create performance opportunities for students.
- Provide constructive feedback to students through monthly progress report testng to help them improve their technique and performance.
- Participate in curriculum development to enhance the educational experience offered by the studio.
- Organize and lead workshops or special events that encourage student participation and growth.
Qualifications
- Experience in teaching dance in a studio setting is required.
- Background in acrobatics is a plus, but if not certified in Acrobatic Arts- willing to get certified.
- Familiarity with special education practices is beneficial for accommodating diverse learners.
- Skills in behavior management to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Knowledge of curriculum development to create engaging lesson plans tailored to student needs.
- Ability to educate students on various aspects of dance, including technique, history, and performance skills.
- Creative skills in unique choreography with the ability to extend the role into competitive dance choreography for our Company members.

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
