What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position at Momentum for Health?
**Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm**
Pay rates for Union positions are set in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with SEIU Local 521. Each position has a total of six steps, Step 1 (entry level) through Step 6 (15 years of employment with the organization). Union staff are promoted from Step 1 to Step 2 upon their one-year anniversary. The current Step 1 rate for this position is $28.09/hr, and the current Step 6 rate for this position is $31.01/hr.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support needed and preventive repair, maintenance, and attention to safety hazards/risks of assigned buildings, grounds, equipment, fleet vehicles and all agency property.*
- Follow directives and/or written work orders for scheduled and unexpected maintenance and repair work. Work with maintenance team to complete project tasks and responsibilities.
- Communicate with Facilities Manager regarding needed or continuing repair and maintenance issues.
- Coordinate with other departments and other Agency staff regarding activities involving the scheduling and coordinating of facility maintenance work projects for assigned areas.
- Ensure security and safety of all agency facilities.*
- Monitor buildings and grounds for environmental and structural risks, hazards, or breaches, such as those pertaining to fire alarm systems, locks, exit venues, and other containment/warning security systems or equipment. Report any concerns to the Facilities Manager.
- Make repairs within the scope of this position and/or advise Facilities Manager to contact vendors, contractors, or emergency responders to perform the work within Agency protocols.
- Assist with departmental and building moves or reorganizations.*
- Move furniture, cubicle units, or equipment from one location to another.
- Perform pre- and post-move inspections, preparation, and clean up.
- Receive general direction, training and coordination from Facilities Manager. *
- Work as part of a maintenance team, as well as independently, to complete assigned tasks and accomplish department goals.
- Follow safe and best practices in the execution of maintenance work.
- Follow safety protocols for the execution of tasks and storage of supplies and materials.
- Transport supplies, equipment, and other items for agency business in personal or agency vehicle.*
- Communicate progress on assigned tasks using the Agency online ticketing system.*
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend and participate in agency meetings and trainings as requested and/or assigned.
- Participate in safety drills and inspection and emergency preparedness activities, as assigned.*
- Interface with staff, clients, and visitors, as conditions require and in an unobtrusive manner.*
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: (E = Essential; D = Desired)
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education and a minimum of three years of related, full-time employment experience. (D)
- Best practices experience in facilities/building maintenance, equipment repair and replacement, or construction, including:
