Momentum is hiring a House Coordinator to coordinate the day-to-day operational functions of our group home and work closely under the direction of the Administrator and nursing staff to assure quality care. House Coordinator Essential Responsibilities :
Assists Administrator with instructing staff on how to carry out active treatments and training objectives identified in each persons Individualized Service Plan (ISP)Coordinates Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in cleaning and laundry dutiesTrains new staff regarding persons supported needs, individual training objectives, and housekeeping dutiesProvides new supported persons with an orientation to the facility with introduction to staff and peersIn conjunction with the Dietitian and Administrator, assigns and monitors meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; ensure menus are posted and followed; and prepare meals, as neededDrives persons supported to appointments using company vehicle and assist supported persons on outingsProvides direct support support, as neededPerforms other duties as assigned to meet department and / or business needsHouse Coordinator Qualifications :
Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent; requiredValid and current proof of legal right to drive in California; requiredAt least 18 months of Direct Support experience, working with individuals with disabilities under the supervision of a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP)Positive attitude with flexibility to meet the needs and demands of the residential homeRead, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilitiesCommunicate and work professionally and cooperatively with otherSuccessfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United StatesAble to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) poundsWith 40 programs and service sites spanning several counties, Momentum is the largest nonprofit provider of direct support for individuals with disabilities in Southern California.
