Position : Locum to Permanent Physician Assistant (PA) General Surgery
Location : Coos Bay, Oregon
Key Responsibilities :
Assist general surgeons in the operating room for a variety of procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative care.
Conduct patient assessments, review medical histories, and assist with the development of surgical treatment plans.
Provide follow-up care for patients after surgery, monitor recovery, and manage post-surgical complications.
Assist with patient education regarding surgical procedures, risks, recovery processes, and lifestyle adjustments.
Perform pre-operative evaluations and assist with in-office procedures as necessary.
Work closely with the surgical team to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications :
Physician Assistant (PA) certification with a focus or experience in general surgery.
Valid Oregon state license or eligibility to obtain one.
Proven experience assisting in surgical procedures and providing pre / post-operative care.
Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
