Job Summary : The Process Engineer primary responsibility will be to provide hands on technical assistance to manufacturing, and quality to solve and eliminate problems as they relate to manufacture of product. Work closely with operators, leads and production supervisors on the production floor to help improve processes and develop new processes. The individual will be required to plan, implement and manage projects to bring to a successful conclusion; assume a leadership role as opportunity presents itself, and be able to multi task as needed in a fast paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Create process plans that clearly define process procedures
- Collaborate on issues like cost projections and reduction, as well as run times
- Analyze current machining procedures and standards to identify inefficiencies
- Provide suggestions and solutions for improvements to process and procedures
- Effectively troubleshoot machining process issues (Cutting tools, fixtures, programs, etc.)
- Prepare internal company drawings and provides data to aid in the manufacturing process of the customers product
- Review customer purchase order changes, drawings and specification changes
- Design tooling and fixtures required for the manufacturing of new jobs
- Work directly with machine operators and provide structured training, and help execute solutions
