About the Role

Green Hill Brands is a growing startup in the food manufacturing industry, poised for significant expansion. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Finance to lead our financial operations during this exciting phase of growth. In this high-impact role, you’ll manage critical functions such as product costing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping financial strategy and ensuring operational excellence, working directly with the CEO and collaborating across departments to drive performance and innovation. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Analysis

· Oversee product cost analytics, including manufacturing performance metrics, ingredient and packaging price variances, and validation of savings from productivity initiatives.

· Partner with Operations to optimize the supply chain network and lead contract negotiations and strategy.

· Develop and maintain financial models for strategic sourcing and capacity-building initiatives to reduce delivered costs.

· Prepare financial presentations for the Board of Directors, external stakeholders, and senior leadership while delivering actionable insights to inform decision-making.

Financial Management & Reporting

· Lead the monthly financial close process and analyze budget variances, KPIs, and performance trends across departments and channels.

· Drive the annual budgeting process and deliver ongoing forecasting updates.

· Monitor the accuracy of financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with operational goals and recommending corrective actions as needed.

· Oversee COGS reporting with robust variance analysis and comparisons against budgets and historical data.

Operational & Team Excellence

· Ensure accurate and complete Bill of Materials through supplier collaboration.

· Maintain compliance with company accounting policies, particularly around product costs, standard costing, and capital controls.

· Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

· Support leadership in evaluating growth opportunities and spearheading initiatives to enhance financial performance and organizational success.

Experience & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA preferred).

· 6-10 years of experience in manufacturing finance, with expertise in cost accounting.

· Background in CPG and food manufacturing is essential.

· Demonstrated leadership in managing and developing high-performing teams.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, with fluency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
