POSITION SUMMARY
A Clinic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for patients in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations. This role assesses health status, diagnoses, develops plans of care and treatment, implements treatment plans, and follows up with evaluations of the patient’s status. The NP/PA uses clinical judgments in conducting health assessments, making different diagnoses, and prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments. Plans are implemented through independent action, health counseling, and collaboration with other healthcare providers.
