Job Summary
Release of Information Clerk coordinates the proper release of information on all requests received for medical information, including locating, copying, mailing and billing in a timely and efficient manner.
Job Requirements
a. Minimum Education Requirement : High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of Health Information Technology program or 2 years’ medical records experience may be considered in place of education program.
b. Minimum Experience Requirement : Demonstrated experience in release of information and confidentiality; working knowledge of data retrieval and computer/word processing; previous experience release protocol preferred. Ability to deal with effectively with the public. Must possess reading, writing and mathematical skills and ability to understand written instruction.
c. Minimum License Requirement :

Light Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to10 lbs with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs.
