Monadnock Developmental Services is seeking a qualified applicant for a Part Time DSP position in the Spofford area. 20-24 hours per week, with a very flexible schedule.
Direct Support Professional Responsibilities:
- Support individuals in their communities to lead fully included lives
- Support the strengths, gifts and potential of individuals with disabilities
- Aid in the removal of barriers preventing a person with a disability to reach their goals
Direct Support Professional Requirements:
- support individuals out in the community
- guidance with healthy meal choices
- assist with meal preparation
- assist and guidance with household chores
- transportation of individual for errands, appointments and community participant programs
- continued support and development of individual's monthly goals
- maintain accurate records of daily activities, behaviors and progress
- manage and redirect challenging behaviors by using position behavior support
- **Training will be provided in all applicable areas for each program**
Direct Support Professional minimum qualifications include:
- a sound ethical foundation, dedication, creativity, commitment to building a relationship, sense of humor and ability to work in a team environment.
Schedule is flexible, including weekday and/or weekend hours.
