Our co-op has a new opening for a well-rounded Merchandising Manager who can work independently and collaboratively with grace. The schedule is Monday through Friday dayshift with flexibility for store events.
The purpose of this position is to oversee the merchandising of the Co-op to maximize inventory turn, margin, and suppliers. The Merchandising Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Grocery Departments (including all sub-departments) and the Cheese Department are supported by a robust product selection and merchandising plan throughout the year. This position ensures selection and purchasing of products that meet financial objectives for sales, margin, and turns and are within the Co-op’s Product Selection Guidelines. As the primary resource for the Grocery Departments, the Merchandising Manager works closely with Grocery management and buyers ensuring the proper product mix and promotions in all Grocery sub-departments. The Merchandising Manager is a key member of a department where cooperation is required to maintain staff morale, efficiency, creative merchandising of quality products, and excellent customer service. The Merchandising Manager takes on the role of the NCG Purchasing Liaison for MFC as an organization. This role serves to coordinate all promotions and promotional event purchasing for all departments, sharing information with and assisting all Department Managers in making sure we have a coordinated, well-executed promotional plan for each sales period.

Schedule: Monday through Friday with flexibility for business needs and special events
Pay Range: Begins at $25.32 per hour (this is a salary role) with additional compensation for experience
