MHS is looking for a Canine Behavior Specialist to join our team! The primary responsibilities of the Canine Behavior Specialist include overseeing the mental and physical well-being of the dogs in our care, training staff and volunteers in dog behavior, creating and implementing behavior and enrichment plans for dogs, and ensuring dogs move quickly through the shelter system.
This full time position includes benefits after 90 days including paid time off, health benefits, at cost veterinary care for your pets, a simple IRA with company match, and so much more! This position requires a minimum of 4 years of practical dog behavior experience and at least 2 years shelter experience. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as be a great team player.
