General Responsibilities
Prepare and present exceptional quality cuisine in accordance with current standards, guidelines and
regulations to assure a pleasurable dining experience for the enjoyment of the residents.
Standard Requirements
1. Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of Brandywine Living and the facility.
2. is knowledgeable of resident rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity
and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environment.
3. Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for:
a. Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established
fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/or correct unsafe
working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs.
b. Confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee and operations data.
c. Quality Assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
d. Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual
harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior.
4. Supports and participates in common teamwork:
a. Cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with
minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment.
b. Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.
c. Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers or residents regarding reported
complaints, problems and concerns.
d. Promotes positive and professional approach with team members, residents, family
members and guests.
e. Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress
codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned.
Essential Duties
•Follow recipes and presentation guidelines-all plates have a garnish
•Coordinate the preparation of food orders to ensure timely and efficient delivery to each Resident/table
•Properly follow all food safety and sanitation standards to ensure Team Member and Resident safety
•Maintain clean workstation throughout the shift
•Ensure all Resident special requests are met whenever possible
•Ability to learn multiple stations
Other Duties
Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which
may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.
Other duties as directed by supervisor.

Basic Qualifications:
Education/Training: High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
Certified Culinary Degree preferred but not required.
Experience: Prior culinary experience in Senior Living, Restaurant or Hotel environment
Working Conditions: Moves intermittently during working hours and subject to frequent
interruptions.
Physical and Sensory Requirements: Proficient reading, proficient interpersonal relations and
communicative skills; auditory and visual skills; ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push and pull a
minimum of 50 pounds.
