Job Highlights:
The EHR Application Architect must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Behavioral Healthcare EHR system(s)
Technical understanding of relational database systems – ability to construct basic SQL queries
Technical understanding of basic integration concepts, data file formats, file transfer protocols, healthcare-specific interoperability protocols (HL7, FIHR, etc).
Basic understanding of Cloud Computing environments and the role API’s play in system integration efforts.
Ability to bridge technical/non-technical communication gaps
Excellent communication, facilitation and collaboration skills
Knowledge or background in process improvement/optimization efforts.
Understanding application and network security principles
This Opportunity:
The EHR Application Architect is responsible for configuring, operating, managing changes, and administering Monarch's Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. As a key member of the IT Team, partners with team members and enterprise stakeholders to develop product strategies and plans that enhance functionality, integrate systems and data, and improve analytical reporting capabilities. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of electronic health records and involves designing, developing, and ensuring the supportability of the integrated systems. The Architect analyzes processes and systems to identify how they impact the organization’s strategic initiatives and patient experience, ensuring the seamless integration of the platforms.What You'll Do:
Key responsibilities include direct involvement with the development, implementation, training and support of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Understands and documents operational workflows and requirements. Understands the role the EHR plays in those workflows and facilitates and coordinates software configuration changes to adapt to changing workflows and/or requirements.
Displays good judgment in dealing with creative ideas and judging their potential success. Facilitates brainstorming and manages the creative process of others.
Provides guidance on EHR best practices.
Provides expert guidance to EHR teams on system optimization, change management, standardized processes and workflows.
Planning and oversight of system integration maintenance and development.
Serves as an expert resource and subject matter expert for all areas of EHR systems.
Demonstrates good decision-making abilities (including analysis, experience and judgment) and provides solutions with long term and generally favorable outcomes. Is often sought out by colleagues for advice.
Excellent at analysis of problems. Probes sources for answers and finds effective solutions to complex issues.
Maintain a clear understanding of customer needs and how they align or conflict with business goals and technical constraints.
Ensures compliance with regulatory standards as they apply to EHR systems and operations.
Provides mentoring and training to other members of the team in system analysis & design, specification development and documentation, and end user training content and materials.
Remains abreast of trends and developments in HIT.
Outline and execute product release plans ensuring timeliness of deliverables and regular communication of status to stakeholders.
Assists in the development and maintenance of long-term strategic applications planning for EHRs to achieve strategic outcomes.
Partner with appropriate resources to maintain trainings as required and requested
Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations
Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures
Complete all other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
Driving and travel may be required
