Monarch Eye Care is a privately owned full service eye care practice. Serving local patients and disabled veterans in the southeast, we offer both primary routine and medical eye exams. We have an on-sight laboratory and optical. Our customers benefit from a full service facility, with the personal attention only received at a smaller business. We focus on selling, fitting and dispensing eyewear and contact lenses to customers with excellent customer service, while also offering a one stop facility for nearly all of their eye care needs. Emergencies, disease treatments, general family eye care, and specialty medically necessary contact lenses are just a few of our offerings.

We believe in maintaining a generous life/work balance. No evenings and no weekends are our policy. The hours include 8hr shifts Monday-Thursday, and may include 4 hours on Friday as needed, so you can have a great career and still enjoy your friends and family. No major holidays, ever.
What would you do?
- Meet or exceed set sales goals and company objectives
- Achieve and maintain the highest level of customer service
- Accurately process the insurance filing and orders thru both insurance and lab
- Obtain optical measurements for patient eyewear and fitting
- Dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses, include manual and tool adjustments
- Contact lens training for new wearers
- Front Desk & Phones
- Actively maintain the appearance of the store, and show initiative in keeping displays and inventory clean, attractive and organized
- Actively contribute to marketing and patient retention by contacting previous patients due for annual eye exams, requesting on line reviews, promoting and executing ideas for social media postings and email campaigns, promoting our brand and building a base of customers that request to see you and value your demonstrated expertise in the field
- Obtain quick pre-test measurements on NCT, AR, & wide-field retinal imaging prior to patient’s eye exam, and perform visual fields as scheduled
Candidates must have:
Strong selling skills
Ability to learn optical knowledge quickly or currently have prescription knowledge
Excellent customer service skills, and ability to diffuse a difficult situation
Clear and precise interpersonal communication skills
Highly organized
Detail oriented
Professional attitude and appearance
Self motivator, strong desire to obtain the highest performance standards

Pay Range $14-16
Employee pay is determined by a multitude of factors, previous experience, proven optical sales experience including meeting sales goals, business references, and general qualifications, highest pay for candidates that have optical laboratory experience with cutting and edging.
