Full-Time Shop Hand/Painter – Monarch Machine and Tool Inc.
Monarch Machine and Tool Inc., a proud union shop established in 1947, specializes in a wide range of projects, including agricultural, structural, and nuclear work. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Shop Hand/Painter to join our team.
Position Overview:
This role involves assisting with daily shop operations, including painting, cutting materials & assembling parts, and general shop maintenance. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Prior painting experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepping, priming, and finishing metal surfaces
- Ensuring high-quality paint finishes with attention to detail
- Operating painting tools and equipment
- Assisting welders and fabricators as needed
- Material handling, shop maintenance, and general clean-up
- Following safety protocols and shop procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience with painting preferred (training available)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Physical strength to operate machinery and handle materials
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment
- Willingness to learn and take direction

Schedule:
