What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Director position at Monarch Meadow Child Care Center?

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Director to oversee our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong background in early childhood education.

Duties include but are not limited to :

Develop and implement educational programs that align with state regulations and promote the intellectual, social, and emotional development of children.
Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Collaborate with parents to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for children.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the childcare center, including budgeting, staffing, and scheduling.

Requirements

Have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate;

Have a combination of education and experience equivalent to 2 years in the areas of early childhood management or early childhood education, child development, nursing or other related field; or

shall have received a professional credential from an organization recognized by the department;

Directors shall meet all training requirements as outlined in Chapter 4 per DCFS

Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Knowledge of state regulations governing childcare facilities.

Experience in education administration is a plus.
