Monarch Metal Fabrication is a leading manufacturer and supplier of architectural metals and panel hanging systems. We have experienced tremendous growth and currently have a full-time job opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated metal fabricator and machine operator to join our professional team. As a member of our team you will be responsible for a variety of metal fabrication operations including bending, punching, shearing, cutting, drilling and tapping. The ideal candidate will be a drug free, detail oriented team player who assumes prompt, accurate, and systematic handling of product orders. Beyond meaningful and challenging work, you'll receive on the job training to help you learn what you need to know to become a valuable contributor to our fabrication team and company.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
-High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent.
-Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
-Must have the ability to speak, read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions as well as procedural manuals, simple prints and measuring devices such as tape measures and dial calipers.
-Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
-Required activities involving being around moving machinery.
-Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
-Ability to lift, carry, push or pull weights up to 50 pounds.
-Excellent attendance is required.
-Reliable transportation to get you to and from work is a MUST.
-Experience is desirable but we are willing to train the right candidate.
-Must be familiar with a variety of metal fabrication machinery such as a shear, drill press, punch press, press break, band saw, lathe and milling machines.
This is a full-time position requiring you to work Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day from 8:30AM-5:00PM. (30 minute lunch from 12-12:30 and (2) 15 minute paid breaks during the day).
