As a Mechanic you will perform repair work and maintenance for buses,
You will perform routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes, and tune-ups, repairing or replacing malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts. You will perform tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function and examining critical parts and systems using a standard checklist. You will be able to identify mechanical issues either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment. Test drive vehicles to confirm safe and proper operation and planning timetable to complete such repairs and maintenance.

What skills and knowledge you need to help you succeed in this role:
- Knowledge of mechanical repair skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read service and repair manuals
- Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment, hydraulics, and software
- Vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field required
- Two years of related experience
- A commercial driver’s license may be required. *Willing to train for C.D.L
- State inspection license / hydraulics
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and safety inspections
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
