Position Overview:

The Visual Merchandising Manager is a key business role responsible for driving and executing visual merchandising strategies that enhance the customer experience and drive sales in Moncler stores. This role requires a blend of creativity, business acumen, leadership skills and a keen ability to work both tactically and strategically. To ensure that store environments consistently reflect Moncler’s Brand identity and values, the role will also implement visual directives, train and mentor instore visual support, lead window rotations, support events and special animations, and partner with store and regional leadership to assess the needs and opportunities in their markets. This position reports to the Director of Visual Merchandising for Moncler Americas and will be responsible for approximately 15 stores across Florida, Texas, Georgia, Washington DC, Virginia, Brazil and Mexico.


Your Impact

Visual Merchandising Management

  • Create visually compelling displays that enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitor strategies.
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to assess the effectiveness of visual merchandising strategies.
  • Adjust and refine merchandising approaches based on performance metrics and feedback.
  • Attend store visits and walkthroughs with the retail management team and follow up on action plans.
  • Attend and participate in regional conference calls to share VM updates/directives and learn about key business priorities.

Store Planning and Execution

  • Plan, prepare and implement regular store zoning and rotations in consultation with Visual Merchandising Director.
  • Communicate corporate directives and ensure consistency and quality of visual presentation across all store locations within scope.
  • Collaborate with store managers and staff to ensure consistent and effective implementation and maintenance of visual standards.
  • Manage products, including preparation in the back of house, informing of location changes, and installation.
  • Assess store maintenance and environment to maintain luxury retail standards, ensuring lighting, windows, props, and furniture are in excellent condition.
  • Manage prop inventory, including reordering, removal, and disposal.

Collaboration and Project Management

  • Communicate visual merchandising plans and standards to store teams and provide training as needed.
  • Partner with Store Planning and Retail Field teams to plan, prepare, and execute new store openings, renovations, and relocations.
  • Coordinate window installations and product rotations, partnering with the corporate office, Headquarters, and local suppliers.

Team

  • Identify employees with visual merchandising strengths within the network, lead, and mentor them, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance, to support strong succession planning.
  • Train and develop store employees on visual standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Facilitate onboarding for new store leaders.
  • Perform as a team-player and participate in all activities contributing to the overall objectives of stores, the merchandising team, and the Company.
  • Be an employee engagement champion and contribute to maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Lead by example and adhere to the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high-level standard of customer service, professionalism, and ethics.

Travel

50%: Must be willing to work based on business needs, with agility and flexibility, and travel locally, domestically, and internationally as needed.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising, Design, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree is acceptable; portfolio to support previous work history is accepted.

Work Experience

  • 5 years of multi-store retail visual merchandising experience within an international brand, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • luxury retail experience preferred.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work autonomously, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and to work both tactically and strategically.
  • Professional presentation and excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all employees, management, and external partners.
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely in a variety of settings, adjusting the message to match the audience.
  • Experience working in a global company and matrix organization with the ability to build collaborative relationships and work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, able to prioritize urgent and critical tasks.
  • Strong ability to drive for results without compromising ethics and quality.
  • Technologically adept with proficiency in Microsoft tools (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook), Adobe (Photoshop & Illustrator), and other visual merchandising software and tools.
  • Physical ability to perform occasional lifting and moving of merchandise and props.

In addition to a competitive base salary, the appointed candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.


Due to the nature of this position, and the proximity to stores that is required for success, the Visual Merchandising Manager must spend most of their time in the field. This role is eligible for one (1) remote workday per week, as business allows.
