What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Operator position at Mondi?
Job Summary:
Loads paper rolls onto Tuber in correct position, assists in the operation, set-up, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the machines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Follows safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and quality guidelines.
- Accurately reads and interprets plant order information, completing required forms on time.
- Retrieves materials for production, installs paper rolls, and performs running splices.
- Conducts quality checks, adjusts machines, and troubleshoots issues.
- Assists in machine setup, preventative maintenance, and rework activities.
- Performs housekeeping duties and other assigned tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for handling equipment and machinery.
- Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Flexible to work 8-12 hour shifts, rotating days off, weekends, overnight shifts, and overtime as needed.
