Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of a secure, scalable, and efficient data architecture in Azure. This position will play a critical role in developing and managing data lakes, ensuring seamless data integration across systems, and maintaining a secure environment for handling highly confidential data. As a key leader, you will guide and execute the development of pipelines, data transformations, and overall architecture to support this significant footprint in Azure.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data lakes, lakehouses, and data pipelines in Azure, adhering to the bronze-silver-gold medallion architecture framework.
- Collaborate with data engineers and other stakeholders to ensure that data from all systems flows correctly and integrates seamlessly.
- Develop and implement best practices for handling highly confidential data in a secure cloud environment.
- Oversee the provisioning of security for data lakes and ensure compliance with global information security standards.
- Guide the team in addressing challenges and avoiding pitfalls in Azure data lake development.
- Construct and manage the data warehouse, ensuring it meets organizational requirements.
- Use tools like Power BI and SQL to deliver actionable insights and enable efficient reporting.
- Lead from a technology perspective, providing expertise and strategic guidance on data architecture and infrastructure decisions.
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Azure data lakes and lakehouse implementation.
Proficient in Azure Data Lake, Power BI, and SQL, with a strong understanding of data pipelines, transformations, and medallion architecture.
Demonstrated ability to architect and manage secure environments for highly confidential data in cloud platforms.
Proven experience guiding technical teams and driving best practices in cloud data solutions.
Ability to foresee potential challenges and proactively address them to ensure smooth execution of data-related projects.
