Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analytics Pricing Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for analyzing market trends, securitization, and loan performance data to develop competitive and accurate loan pricing structures. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the sales team to determine interest rates based on FICO scores, loan performance, and market conditions. This is a hands-on role that requires strong data analysis skills, experience in consumer or mortgage lending, and proficiency in SQL for data extraction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze market trends and securitization data to determine loan pricing strategies.
- Develop loan programs and create rate sheets for marketing, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing.
- Evaluate application data, including FICO scores and loan performance, to assess interest rate impacts.
- Utilize historical loan data to identify delinquency patterns, loss rates, and risk factors.
- Extract and manipulate data from the data warehouse (Snowflake) using SQL.
- Differentiate pricing strategies based on loan types (e.g., boats, RVs vs. water filtration systems).
- Conduct portfolio valuation to assess financial risk and profitability.
- Communicate technical data insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in lending, specifically in consumer lending, mortgage lending, or loan servicing.
- Proven experience in developing interest rates and loan pricing strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in market securitization and loan portfolio valuation.
- Proficiency in SQL (Snowflake preferred) for extracting and analyzing large datasets.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to work with complex financial models and spreadsheets.
