Job Description:
Oversee day-to-day field operations for a specialized transit service, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery while managing drivers and customer interactions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Be onsite daily (8 AM - 5 PM) to oversee operations.
- Monitor driver compliance and ensure vehicles are clean and equipped.
- Conduct fleet audits and oversee driver onboarding.
- Act as the designated employer representative for drug/alcohol determinations.
- Support drivers with training, troubleshooting, and customer service.
- Analyze operational data and identify areas for improvement.
- Escalate and resolve service issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Experience in a leadership, field operations, or customer service role.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Competency with technology (Slack, dispatch tools, internal apps).
- Ability to troubleshoot driver issues and escalate appropriately.
- Comfortable working in an ambiguous, problem-solving environment.
- Onsite availability Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or similar industries.
- Previous work with drivers, fleet management, or dispatch operations.
- Background in customer service or sensitivity training.
- Familiarity with performance tracking tools like Tableau.
- Mission-driven mindset, especially related to community impact.
- A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
