Manager of Information Security

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Information Security to lead our security operations team. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical background, management experience, and the ability to oversee multiple security projects while ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a broad spectrum of security experience, a strong understanding of security frameworks (ISO, etc.), and the ability to balance both strategic leadership and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of five direct reports in security operations.
• Oversee and prioritize multiple security projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership while guiding and motivating the team to enhance security operations and technology.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security risks and implement best practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry security frameworks (ISO, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and incident response protocols.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the security operations team.

Required Qualifications:

• 10-15 years of experience in Information Security, with at least 5 years in a management role.
• Proven career progression from Engineer/Analyst to Management.
• Experience working in companies ranging from 500 to 2000 employees.
• Broad experience across security operations and tasks, not siloed in a single industry.
• IT and Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent preferred).
• Strong understanding of various security frameworks (ISO, NIST, etc.).
• Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Active participation in the InfoSec community or security-related organizations.
