Job Description :
Lead the final design phase of an advanced truck mirror system, ensuring it is production-ready and optimized for injection molding.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
Modify and refine CAD models to ensure manufacturability via injection molding.
Select appropriate materials and optimize the design for production.
Generate and deliver CAD drawings to suppliers for manufacturing.
Conduct FEA simulations to validate design integrity.
Ensure design compliance with high-precision requirements for freightliners and school buses.
Collaborate closely with the engineering team, attending weekly meetings.
Requirements : Must-Haves :
5 years of experience in mechanical design.
Expertise in injection molding.
Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Strong experience in 3D surface modeling.
Hands-on experience creating CAD models for supplier review.
Background in casting processes.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or an associate degree in mechanical design with relevant experience).
Experience with FEA simulation.
Nice-to-Haves :
Automotive industry experience.
Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, and PPAP processes.
Salary : $40 - $46
