Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled and hands-on Principal Engineer/Architect for Application Development to drive their ongoing technology transformation. In this role, you will lead the development of technology solutions for the Servicing experience, ensuring alignment with business strategies. You will work closely with leadership and product teams, guiding and implementing technology solutions to achieve business outcomes.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Provide enterprise and application architecture direction to business and technology teams, delivering actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Design and implement application solutions on distributed and legacy systems, cloud-native apps, and microservices.
- Lead planning, execution, and management of custom Core application solutions.
- Develop application development and architecture strategy, best practices, and proof of concepts.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and resiliency across teams.
- Prepare documentation and messaging to communicate strategies to executive management.
- Participate in DevOps, monitoring, and testing efforts related to applications.
- Build and deploy architectural prototypes to mitigate risk from new solutions.
- Ensure applications are designed, implemented, and maintained according to enterprise standards.
Must-Haves:
- 10 years of experience in full-stack and/or middleware software development.
- 8 years working with SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
- 7 years of solution and enterprise design in full-stack application development in cloud-native and on-prem environments.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
- 5 years of experience architecting high-impact, reliable applications with responsive design.
- Direct hands-on experience with Java, Angular, Node.js, JavaScript, SQL, NoSQL, Restful APIs, GraphQL, and message queues.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 5 years of experience deploying and scaling applications on containerized platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS EKS).
- Strong understanding of legacy IBM systems (zSeries/iSeries).
- Experience with CI/CD, distributed application architecture, architecture trade-off analysis, and strategic planning.
Salary : $95 - $105
