Mondrian Alpha have been mandated to work on a rather unique, COO hire for a major quant strategy trading business.
The firm have an exceptional performance track – they are looking to use this performance, their reputation as being a high calibre systematic trading firm, and experience to rapidly build out the hedge fund.
We are looking to hire a COO. This is to support the buildout of new investment pods, systems & infrastructure the running of those business lines. We view this as a business management / strategy role at the core (the hire will be running a business as opposed to operational processes), albeit the buildout phase also requires a broader, commercial skillset (for example, the hire will have a close alignment to the technology team, working on the buildout of python tools for traders).
The role can be based fully remote, from any location of the individual’s choice.
Candidates should be COO’s / business managers, from an electronic trading / systematic strategy background. We are considering candidates from multi-strategy hedge funds or prop trading firms, however individuals working in investment bank electronic trading functions could also be relevant.
The role will pay a sizeable base & bonus total compensation package the new hire will be part of the firm’s employee equity programme.
