Key Responsibilities:
- Manage comprehensive financial operations, including fund accounting (NAV calculations, trade reconciliations, portfolio reporting) and management company finances (budgeting, expense tracking), utilizing Advent Geneva for robust data integration.
- Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy for investor statements, leadership reports, and regulatory filings (e.g., SEC, GAAP-compliant).
- Lead strategic projects to optimize processes, leveraging Advent Geneva’s capabilities and other automation tools across accounting, treasury, and compliance functions.
- Collaborate with the portfolio manager, operations, and tech teams to address firm-wide financial challenges.
- Supervise and mentor a small team, promoting efficiency and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- 8-12 years of accounting/finance experience, with 4 years in a hedge fund, asset management, or similar financial services role.
- Proven experience using or implementing Advent Geneva, with deep understanding of its portfolio accounting, reconciliation, and reporting features.
- Broad expertise in fund accounting, management company accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in accounting systems; experience with Python, SQL, or data tools is a plus.
- Analytical, team-oriented, and adept at managing diverse priorities in a dynamic environment.
- CPA or equivalent preferred.
