What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global Reference Data Lead – Hedge Fund – Large comp package – Work flexibility position at Mondrian Alpha?
A multi-billion dollar AUM global, multi-strategy hedge fund, rapidly building out their presence in New York, are looking to hire a global financial reference data lead from this location.
The hire has a remit to build a scalable multi-asset global financial reference data platform, relatively from scratch, working closely with quant developers to do so, and as a result working autonomously. The function should manage financial reference data, ensure consistency, accuracy & integrity of financial reference data ensure that the data always meets the demands / requirements of a high volume multi-strategy investment team. The hire will go on to lead the function & a team that he/she will go on to build.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10yrs data management experience in an IB, hedge fund, prop trading firm or at a vendor. Candidates should be hands-on working with data, as at the core we are looking for real time / reference data experts (ideally with a strong understanding of how corporate actions interact with reference data), with a strong understanding of data modelling techniques. Whilst coding skills are not a pre-requisite, expertise in scripting / data modelling is preferred.

Our client is committed to providing the hire with a substantial increase on his/her current base salary. If the hire performs to an exceptional standard, and the fund continues to do so, the hire can earn a 100% bonus.
