Pool Host/Hostess

POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for positive experience of guests while maintaining the quality standards of Baia Beach Club F&B Pool Operations. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. You should also be available to work in day and evening shifts including weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following and enforcing check issue procedures.
• Take Room Service orders.
• Handle reservation book, take incoming telephone calls, note reservations and special requests by guests.
• Welcome guests to the F&B Outlets in a warm and courteous way.
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.
• Manage reservations.
• Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas.
• Provide menus and announce Servers’ name.
• Greet guests upon their departure.
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options.
• Maintain a clean reception area.
• Perform opening and closing duties, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School or equivalent education required.
• Prior work experience as a Host/Hostess in Hotel or Restaurant preferred.
• Perform general clerical tasks including maintaining logbooks and reservation books.
• Assist in table setting and general dining room maintenance during peak periods.

• Experience in managing reservations.
• Demonstrable customer-service skills
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)

• Must be flexible and available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.
