What will you do as our Principal Data Architect?
Money Management International (MMI) is seeking a Principal Data Architect to join our team. As the Principal Data Architect in MMI's Information Technology Department, you will help usher in the next generation of data infrastructure and analytics for the enterprise based on modern cloud-based technologies.
MMI is a Microsoft shop, therefore, the selected candidate must have extensive experience in the Microsoft Cloud data services eco-system. You will leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to plan, drive and deliver best-in-class outcomes. You will also build strong relationships and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to gain buy-in and drive progress in a fast paced and evolving environment, under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer, to whom this role reports.
Key Responsibilities for this Role :
- Develop multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategies and priorities.
- Serve as the go-to subject matter expert on data architecture and infrastructure.
- Define the strategic Data Architecture and standards including developing a path from current-state to target-state, assisting with the integration of MMI's application and systems, and sunsetting of legacy data platforms and systems.
- Create conceptual, logical and physical data models, including data flows.
- Advise IT Leadership on software, services and application patterns to deliver future state.
- Provide guidance to Developers, steering them towards the successful execution of projects that align with MMI's architectural patterns and practices-in some cases defining new standards and practices to optimize outcomes.
- Able to provide requirements to data developers at a low level as a foundation for them to build code.
- Design and develop tactical (interim) solutions while building towards a strategic target-state providing hands-on direction to develop efficient and scalable solutions that align with the company's business objectives.
- Participate in all phases of the agile systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design (including code design and reviews), development testing and deployment, providing work estimates for tasks to project management, and participate in agile ceremonies.
- Work closely with business and technical teams to build relationships, understand needs, analyze requirements and ensure communication across the organization.
