Our direct Client based in NYC (midtown) is seeking a full-time IT Operations Engineer. This is an urgent Client need with immediate interviews for qualified candidates.
Salary range : $105,000 - $125,000 per year
Benefits : 401(k), Health insurance
Type : Hybrid - will require 2pm to 10pm weekly team rotation every 5th week.
Work Loc : NYC (On-site, midtown)
Candidate will be an experienced Operations Engineer and will join Client's growing IT Operations team. Responsibilities for daily administration of the server / network infrastructure and related systems, using cloud provisioning tools and automating tasks using a scheduler. Candidate will be highly detail-oriented and comfortable working independently as well as within a team. New hire will be learning about and working extensively with Linux, scripting, and AWS.
This position will need to support standard office hours and a rotational 2pm - 10pm EST shift for one week every 5 weeks or so. There is also on-call pager duty associated with the respective shifts.
Responsibilities :
- Monitor systems and applications including Linux, Windows, and AWS services
- Deploy applications across a multitude of servers and operating systems hosted on AWS
- Use Bash and Python scripting to automate processes
- Build / monitor / troubleshoot / fix Prod / Test / Dev environments to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Work with CI / CD tools, tasks schedulers, and Amazon Web Services
