SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Case Coordinator position will support the tax resolution team by performing administrative duties essential to the proper servicing of clients, including IRS information reviews, IRS phone communication, data entry, expediting client welcome packages, scheduling client appointments, processing Power of Attorney forms and other paperwork, and providing various levels of admin support. This position requires safe handling of sensitive client information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answering phones quickly and maintaining a positive tone and proper etiquette while speaking with clients/coworkers.
- Understanding of interdepartmental workflow and capacity to direct calls accurately based on client needs
- Ability and knowledge to answer basic questions regarding case progression and document requirements when Tax Analyst is not available
- Proficient in all case coordinator position duties
- Speaking with the IRS to gather information regarding client accounts
- Interacts with clients to verify information
- Accurate data entry of sensitive client information
- Prepare and email welcome packets along with necessary documents to clients
- Scheduling the client’s first appointment with the Tax Analyst
- Organizes electronic files
- Reassigns Tax Analysts inventories to meet deadlines
- Maintaining specific case requests including, but not limited to: Create, process, and withdraw Powers of Attorney as well as other legal documents, placing accounts into various statuses, editing account information in DICE
- Researching and updating Federal and state Powers of Attorney, as well as other tax documents to ensure we have the most up to date forms.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of directly applicable experience or equivalent education
- The ability to work at a fast pace is essential in this position
- Expected to maintain a high level of attention to detail to every task
- Requires critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
