Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Project Manager to oversee and manage fire protection projects from inception to completion. This role involves leading project teams, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the fire protection industry, exceptional project management skills, and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage fire protection projects, including system design, installation, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Prepare detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, and milestones.
- Allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
- Ensure all fire protection systems and solutions meet relevant codes, standards (NFPA, IFC, etc.), and regulations.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and site inspections to verify compliance and performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and general contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project status, including any issues or changes.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or project-related issues promptly.
- Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Address any potential issues or obstacles that may impact project success.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports.
- Prepare and present project performance reports to management.
- Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
Qualifications:
- NICET certification preferred.
- Proven experience in fire protection project management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, codes, and standards.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
