About this position:

Training will be primarily full time with 8-hour shifts ranging within 6 am to 6 pm, Sundays off, and Mondays off, for now, though that may change in the future to a different day off during the week.

Your Duties: you will be trained on everything

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and authentic manner
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately
• Provide information about menu items and make recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the cafe, both behind the counter and in the dining room
• Support entire team as needed
• Barista and other beverage creation
• Food handling: Making sandwiches and salads to order; heating other items as necessary; handing out pastries, cookies, etc
• Idea generating, problem solving and taking accountability for the customer experience
• Washing dishes and other cleaning chores
• Posting to our social media channels

Probationary Period:

Your initial two weeks will be an introduction, followed by a 60-day probationary period. During this time, both you and the company will evaluate each other to ensure a good fit. Successful completion of this period will lead to discussions on your progress and future goals.

Work Environment:

We operate a drug-free and smoke-free business and follow CDC recommended COVID-19 precautions during outbreaks in the community and infections within our 4 walls, including: PPE requirements, temperature screenings, and social distancing. We always have remote initial interviews, ongoing sanitizing procedures, and mandatory vaccinations for incoming staff.

Pay: $16.66 - $20.00 per hour
