What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing and Communications Intern position at Monique Burr Foundation for Children, Inc.?
Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about digital marketing and looking to gain hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, website maintenance, graphic design, and event management (if desired).
Responsibilities:
- Social Media Management: Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content across various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Content Creation: Contribute to blog posts, newsletters, and other marketing materials. Help in researching and generating content ideas that align with our brand's voice and objectives.
- Website Maintenance: Assist in updating website content through a content management system. Help ensure that the website is optimized for SEO and user experience.
- Graphic Design: Support the creation of digital graphics for social media, program curriculum, and promotional materials using design software like Adobe Creative Suite. Maintain brand consistency throughout all our marketing projects.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Prior experience utilizing Microsoft Office software
