Smith & Carson, an Atlanta-based industry leader in performing complex litigation, jury, corporate due diligence, and background investigations, is looking for an experienced investigative reporter and QA editor to join our team. Qualified candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as a writer in a professional field (journalism, law, corporate communications, etc.), or at least two years of experience with legal document review along with proven writing skills. This position will be primarily responsible for reviewing the results of background investigations and summarizing the results into reports for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of civil and criminal processes, experience with reviewing and analyzing complex legal documents, and the ability to write clear, concise reports under tight deadlines. Ideal candidates may include, but are not limited to : a journalist with experience covering legal issues, an attorney or other legal professional with a background in document review, a corporate communications professional, or a technical writer with experience in government and / or law. You will be joining a sophisticated team of professionals who will work with you as you learn and grow with the business.
