Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the store staff, including supervisors and associates. Develop a strong sales environment focused on teamwork and customer service.
- Ensure store sales goals are achieved by providing leadership and direction in the areas of : sales techniques, customer service, product knowledge and store communication. Supervise daily activities of the store staff in all aspects of job performance and compliance with store policies and procedures.
- Implement employee training and development. Training and coaching will include the areas of sales, customer service, front end and store operations.
- Timely completion of record keeping associated with applicants, new hires, payroll, performance appraisals, salary reviews, counselling, disciplinary actions and terminations. Ensure accuracy of opening and closing procedures, cashiering and returns.
- Conduct interviews, hire, train, review and follow a disciplinary action process as it applies to store staff.
- Provide coaching and direction on a day-to-day basis to ensure staff performance standards are met. Provide leadership and directions to the Supervisors as needed. Provide input to leadership on staff performance for the performance review process.
- Answer product and order inquiries. Includes computer research and coordination with corporate.
- Develop and implement motivational incentives for sales staff. Track employee results.
- Perform regular daily store, activities such as opening and closing procedures which include balancing registers, preparing cash bags, and activating security system.
- Maintain inventory levels through ongoing communication with the Inventory Department
- Maintenance of management systems for sales tracking, organization, controlling and auditing store operations.
- Planning and Coordinating in store and community events

Working conditions are generally indoors except for special events. May be required to lift / carry / push / pull up to 50 lbs occasionally. Required to stand and walk majority of the shift. Some Weekend Shifts are required.
