Job Summary

The Seamster/Seamstress is responsible for producing quality garments in a timely fashion by following a production spec sheet and/or art sheet using a Juki Sewing Machine to apply logos, names & numbers to jerseys & other apparel. Additionally, this position requires the individual to follow directions to ensure product meets customer expectations, maintain acceptable quality and productivity, while keeping a clean and safe work area, be reliable, work well with others and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Operating the Sewing machine:Setting up and operating the sewing machine according to production specifications, including gap of zig-zag stitch, method of sewing per garment/apparel.

• Follows the direction on the production specification sheet and/or art sheet provided for each customer order

• Sewing letters and numbers onto team jerseys with borders, as well as team logos. Able to sew patches on bags or any other sporting items that are needed.

• Quality Control:Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy, ensuring that designs are properly placed and adhered.

• Following Production Schedules:Meeting deadlines and maintaining a consistent flow of production.

Additional Responsibilities and Requirements

• Maintaining a Clean Workspace:Keeping the work area organized and clean, ensuring the safe operation of the sewing machine.

• Troubleshooting:Identifying and addressing minor machine malfunctions or issues.

• Communication:Communicating effectively with team members and management regarding production progress and any issues that arise.

• Assisting with other Production Areas:Helping with other production tasks as needed.Can always help with heat press orders

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

• You'll need to be comfortable using a sewing machine and hand-sewing techniques.

• Strong experience with Zig-Zag and Straight-Stitch sewing techniques

• Familiar with Juki Sewing Machines

• Ability to do light maintenance on sewing machine is a PLUS

• You'll need to be able to work on your own initiative, but also collaborate effectively with others.

Cognitive and Physical Demands

• Be detail-oriented in nature and apply this to all produced products.

• Sound organizational, records management, time management skills, and attention to detail

• Be able to sit in a sewing chair for multiple hours and be able to lift a 15 lb. box without any trouble
