We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team at Monks Construction. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining equipment on various construction sites across the western United States.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain heavy equipment, including earth moving, ditching, trenching, and hoisting.
- Perform pre and post-work inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Distinguish between material types and moisture content of various soil types.
- Maintain a clean cab and use hand tools as required.
- Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and participate in toolbox safety discussions.
- Perform construction-related work as required.
- Consistently demonstrate excellent attendance and reliability.
Requirements
To be successful as a Heavy Equipment Operator, you must have:
- A minimum age of 18 years.
- The ability to pass and maintain pre-employment and drug screenings.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment physical.
- The ability to pass work history verification.
- The ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- A positive and safe work history.
- A reliable means of transportation to and from assigned projects.
- The ability to follow directions and understand and follow safety guidelines.
