POSITION DESCRIPTION/CLASSIFICATION: Groundskeeper
INITIAL SCHEDULE: Initial work hours are tentatively scheduled to be 40 hours per week, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. with 1/2 hour off for meal, Monday-Friday (Note: Work schedule is and will remain subject to change).
OTHER: Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: mowing, snow and ice removal; operating “push” and motorized equipment (mowers, gators, tractors, light trucks, etc.); grounds maintenance (trash & litter collection, etc.); moving furniture and appliances; loading and unloading trucks; operating motor vehicles and equipment; lawn care; snow and ice removal; etc. In addition to having ability and qualifications to perform above tasks in a satisfactory manner, successful candidate must be able to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals in a public, multi-tasked, service-oriented environment. High school diploma, valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are also required.
Hourly wage of $16.40 plus applicable shift premium and attractive benefit package including health insurance with vision and dental, retirement plan, paid vacation and sick leave accrual, and tuition benefits for eligible dependents. Normal work schedule (40 hours per week), which is and will remain subject to change, is currently to be determined based on institutional need.
