MONMOUTH COUNTY PARK SYSTEM
THEATER ASSISTANT FOR PERFORMING ARTS CAMPS
Are you passionate about theater and inspiring young performers?
In this role, you will:
- Lead and engage children in theater-related activities, including acting, improvisation, and stagecraft.
- Support the theatre director and guide campers as they rehearse for performances; helping them build confidence and creativity.
- Supervise and actively participate in all daily camp activities, including games and possibly narrating during the performances.
- Foster a supportive and collaborative environment where campers can express themselves and grow as performers.
Must have a strong knowledge of theater – front of house, backstage and set design. Other desired qualities - enthusiasm, willingness to learn, strong organizational habits, good time management skills, strong communication skills, initiative and a passion for working with and teaching children.
Hours: Monday – Friday , 8:30 a.m.– 4 p.m.
Pay: $16.10 per hour
Location: Thompson Park Theater Barn, Lincroft
Requirements: Must be 18 or older.
