Animal Care Technician

**Job Overview:** We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Care Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care and attention to our animals, ensuring their health and well-being in a safe and nurturing environment. **Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality veterinary critical care to animals, including administering medication and monitoring their condition. - Assist veterinarians with laboratory procedures and animal restraint techniques. - Support animal husbandry practices, including feeding, grooming, and exercising animals. - Train dogs using positive reinforcement techniques. - Provide pet care and sitting services for clients. - Assist with animal care tasks such as cleaning cages, and handling animals. - Provide veterinary assistance during surgical procedures and other medical treatments. - Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to health and safety protocols. - Collaborate with veterinarians and other animal care staff to ensure the highest level of animal care. **Skills:** - Proven experience in veterinary critical care. - Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and animal restraint techniques. - Experience with animal training, particularly dog training. - Proficiency in animal husbandry practices. - Ability to handle and restrain animals safely. - Experience with pet care and sitting services. - Knowledge of veterinary medicine and procedures. - Familiarity with equine care and handling. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients and staff effectively. - Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and walking for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.13 - $16.50 per hour
