Job Description
The Manager, Integrated Work Systems is a key driver of operational excellence within the organization. This role will lead and implement lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and enhance overall business performance. The Manager will coach and mentor teams, facilitate process improvement initiatives, and drive a culture of continuous learning and innovation across all departments, with a strong focus on the successful implementation and sustainment of the Integrated Work System (IWS).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as the site-level and division IWS expert
• Develop and execute IWS implementation plans at all levels (training, master plans, roadmaps)
• Establish IWS pillar (safety, quality, delivery, cost, or employee engagement) review criteria & timelines
• Coach and lead teams on operational improvements, waste elimination, and productivity enhancement to drive a zero-loss mindset
• Facilitate team dynamics and communication through effective daily stand-up meetings
• Establish and track KPIs and conduct regular IWS progress and overall operational performance reviews to identify areas for improvement
• Effectively communicate the value of IWS to all levels of the organization and drive the adoption of IWS initiatives
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Education and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in leading and implementing lean manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen events, 5S, and root cause problem-solving methodologies, Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
- Experience with coaching / mentorship
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing/operations management, with a focus on lean implementation
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older

Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move materials (occasionally)
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, heat, and varying temperatures
Work Environment and PPE
- Work environment may include both office and manufacturing settings
- Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety regulations
