2nd shift Maintenance Mechanic

Company Information: Monogram Foods Solutions is a leading manufacturer and marketer of value-added meat products, snacks, and appetizers. Position Summary, Essential Duties, And Responsibilities

Maintains production equipment through routine repairs and PM execution. The equipment consists of automated high-speed industrial food manufacturing equipment, and the skills needed include good mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and working at pace.

General Duties

• Ability to maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards.
• Ability to work safely with programs such as lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Equipment setup, adjustment, troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance (PM) work, overhaul, and repair.
• Use of shop tools, including cutting, grinding, drill press, welding, and minimal machining.
• Perform work (if qualified) on electric motors and controls.
• Work with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to perform work orders, document work, and order parts.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and prints.
• Ability to perform duties outside and inside in varying conditions, including extreme heat, cold and wet, and/or humid conditions, etc.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications

Education and Experience

Education, Prior Work Experience, And Specialized Skill And Knowledge

• High school diploma required.
• Technical college education or equivalent 2 years experience in a manufacturing-related field preferred.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Support management decisions, talk positively, and encourage a happy environment.
• Be knowledgeable of and follow the safety procedures as outlined by Monogram Foods.
• Be knowledgeable of your department's safe food handling practices, HACCP, and quality control procedures.
• You must be able to speak, read and write in English.
  
  

Language Skills

• Verbal and written communication skills.
  
  

Bi-Lingual a plus- English/Spanish

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear 8-9 hrs per day. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs. Must be able to stand for up to 8-9 hrs. Per day.
