Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Independently oversees and delivers assigned projects/programs throughout the project life cycle.
- Leads and manages multiple projects simultaneously.
- Aligns with business and IT leaders on scope, deliverables, timelines, and budgets, fostering understanding and accountability for successful project delivery.
- Owns the efforts to identify, track progress, and mitigate or escalate project risks.
- Effectively manages interdependencies and capacity constraints across multiple projects.
- Ensures clear verbal and written communication with IT leadership, team members, business partners, and executive leaders.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
- Monitors and controls project budgets to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Responsible for professionally engaging with vendors, when appropriate, on software evaluation and project oversight efforts.
- Supports continuous improvement of project management processes and documentation templates in the IT department.
- Assists in the identification and tracking of KPIs to showcase projects and business successes.
- Mentors and encourages team members on IT project management practices and processes to uphold department standards.
- Conducts project update sessions to inform and align the department on current project efforts.
Education And Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, Master’s degree preferred.
- 7 or more years of IT project management experience.
- Industry-recognized certifications like Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) are a plus.
- Working with applications and users remotely is a plus.
- Experience improving project templates and standards is a plus.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative partnerships that ensure clarity, alignment, and action.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities to meet deadlines, and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and project management tools.
