What are the responsibilities and job description for the MV2 Pack 2nd Shift Operator II position at MONOGRAM MANAGEMENT SERVICES INC?
MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD AND NOT CURRENLTY ENROLLED IN HIGH SCHOOL
Oversee efficient packaging of finished goods through operation and maintenance of packaging machine.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs all work in a safe manner; remain constantly aware of continuous improvement(s) for safety-related opportunities.
- Set-up and run machine according to daily production schedule while complying with all quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure line is stocked with proper materials and products
- Inspect package for proper seal, dating, film alignment and product quality
- Efficiently load top and bottom film when roll is running low and/or when switching to packaging of different product
- Change tools and slitter knives and set code daters correctly according to production schedule
- Control the waste of packaging materials and products
- Correct machine deficiencies that lead to break in product seal, lack of vacuum, clear code date in improper area, improper cut off, etc.
- Keep accurate daily paperwork and communicate any downtime over 15 minutes to supervisor and maintenance
- When line is running sufficiently, assist with other tasks such as feeding, stuffing, and skidding
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Follow GMP/HAACP procedures
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Tiromat packaging machines and/or mechanical aptitude
- Intermediate level communication skills
- Ability to delegate responsibilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot and quickly adapt to unexpected events
- Ability to neatly and accurately complete paperwork
