This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
AL Operator
Purpose/Description
Set up, operate, or tend machines that perform a variety of food preparation functions. Program, feed, monitor, assemble, and disassemble machines. Transport product to and from machines. Weigh product and perform quality checks.
Work Tasks
Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications.
Observe machine operations to ensure quality
Monitor the production line
Inspect and remove defective products
Start machine by engaging controls.
Adjust machine components and machine tension and pressure according to size or processing angle of product.
Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature.
Supply materials to spindles, conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices
Clean production equipment.
