Our Wilmington location features a state-of-the-art USDA Bakery. Our bakery is one of only a handful in the US, designed to mass-produce dough enrobed meats. We produce a wide variety of products and plan to continue to expand well into the future.
Your Role:
The Supply Planning Manager functions as the connection between Demand Planning, Sales/Commercial, Operations, and Supply Chain. The primary purpose is to generate short- and long-term supply plans that balance capacity, optimize production, while maintaining inventory levels targets. These supply plans are communicated to various levels of the organization and used as an input by Master Production Schedulers to develop finite production schedules at a plant level. The Supply Planner acts as the subject matter expert during planning activities such as Step 3 Planning Review and the annual AOP process. This position reports directly to the Sr. Planning Manager and is responsible for leading a team of up to 2 direct reports.
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:

Create accurate supply plans in business categories by utilizing demand forecast, capacity, and inventory requirements received from cross-functional partners for a business category.
- Develop rolling supply plan at multiple levels of aggregation over a 12 18 month time horizon.
- Communicate changes in supply plans, trends, and other key supply planning metrics as part of S&OE, Step 3, Shorts Reviews, Scheduling Calls, or other meetings as required.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, Sales/Commercial, Operations, and Master Production Scheduling to develop an optimized supply plan and finite production schedule.
- Review historical trends such as attainment, adherence, run rate assumptions, capacities, etc. and apply findings to supply plans.
- Achieve business targets for key KPI/metrics such as OTIF, DFC (Days Forward Coverage), SLOB, service level.
- Act as direct interface with key customers (as required) for planning reviews and activities.
- Prepare reports and recommend adjustments to financial forecasts, crewing, capacities, inventory levels, etc.
- Support the development and enhancement of Supply Planning tools, processes, assumptions, and procedures.
- Lead, grow, and develop direct reports.
- B.S. degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field.
- 3 years of professional planning experience required (Food Manufacturing experience preferred).
- Strong interpersonal abilities, communication skills, analytical capabilities, and customer service experience desired.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with a keen sense of urgency required.
- Comfortable with developing and presenting out topics to various groups including leadership.
- Motivated, self-starter, able to work independently and make fact-based decisions/recommendations.
- Able to see the bigger picture and work collaboratively with other business partners to accomplish the common goal.
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel preferred, Power BI desirable) and ERP systems (MS D365 preferred).
- APICS certification preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
