We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Project Estimator to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary:

The Construction Project Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects, including both horizontal and vertical construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs, along with excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to understand project specifications and requirements.

- Attend pre-bid meetings to gather all necessary documentation and information needed for a successful bid.

- Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other relevant documents to prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.

- Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project conditions, as necessary.

- Prepare and submit detailed estimates, including breakdowns of labor, materials, overhead, and profit margins.

- Review and analyze bid proposals from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.

- Monitor and adjust estimates based on changes in project scope or market conditions.

- Assist in the preparation of bid packages and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

- Provide ongoing support during the bidding process, including answering questions and clarifying scope.

- Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technology to ensure competitiveness and accurate estimates.

- Participate in post-project analyses to evaluate the accuracy of estimates and identify areas for improvement.

- Produce estimate turnover package to Project Management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field (preferred).

- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a construction estimator.

- Proficiency in estimating software (HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, BuilderTrend, and Microsoft Suite).

- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Salary: DOE with project performance bonuses
